Hopefully the photos of your seniors give you some idea - bear in mind that it was November then, hence the coats and penguin huddling.
As I said before - something smart, doesn't have to be too fancy, doesn't have to be a dress either. No jeans, T-shirts, trainers. You can recycle outfit for both if you wish. The formality depends on the college sometimes. Our Oxford host is St Catherine's (known as 'Catz') and our Cambridge college is Christ's. I suspect it will be a little less formal at Catz.
